NAMM SHOW - January 21, 2006
Friday, Sat and Sun at NAMM show was so exciting!!! I had an amazing time on Friday night...I knew something really special was up and my cell phone rang with Bill Mason (keyboards with Dave Mason) called up and said get your guitar and come over, Dave wants you to come play! So we had a wonderful time singing and hanging out on the patio by the firepit at Dave's hotel playing Beatles tunes and drinking fine wine compliments of the owner of the restuarant. I LOVE that I get to play music with all these amazing musicians!!! Saturday night was more of that only it was my first showcase at NAMM for Epiphone/Gibson guitars with a full band featuring Jeff "Skunk" Baxter on guitar and special guest Jeff Pevar (Crosby, Stills,& Nash) My band were all some of the finest musicians in this world! We had Jo Pusateri on drums, Mark Epstein(Johnny Winter) on bass, Steve Postell (Pure Prarie League) on guitar, Kiki Ebsen (Christopher Cross and daughter of Buddy) on vocals & of course Jeff "Skunk" Baxter on guitar...who was absolutely amazing!!!! DOUBLE JEFFERTY!!! w/ Jeff Baxter and Jeff Pevar I was a very happy girl!!! Thank you to Cara Hogan and Gibson guitars for that evenning of music! After we played, Mick Fleetwood, Billy Burnette, Jack Cassidy, And Skunk did a set of tunes. I love being in the company of Masters of thier craft!! It's so inspiring And they sound so good! I will carrry the memorys of this evenning close to my heart for a long, long time. Thank you everyone for playing with me tonite! XXXOOO
2006 Sneaker Ball "Aspens Greatest Dance Party" - January 17, 2006
The 19th annual Sneaker Ball of Aspen will take place on Friday, March 17th, 2006 in the Grand Ballroom of the Saint Regis Hotel in Aspen, CO!
In 1986 Al Gross assisted his friend the late David Nauss of Paine Weber, Inc. in throwing a party in Boston. The occasion was Reebok, Ltd going public with their stock. The party was strictly a Black Tie event held at the Marriot Copley Place hotel, with the exception that everyone wore white Reebok athletic shoes. Only tuxedos and fancy gowns were worn. All footwear was white in color with just a few black sneakers. 3500 people attended the event, mostly stock brokers and corporate executives. Men outnumbered women by at least 5 to 1. In 1987 Al decided to make a real party out of this concept. The idea involved "fun people" vs. the stodgy business executives at the Boston Event. Equal numbers of men and women and decorated sneakers (vs the all white tennis shoes worn at the Boston event) was the result. THe even has now been held in Aspen for the past 18 years.

PARIS goes to TEXAS!!! - November 23, 2005
Hi everyone!! I am in Ft. Worth Texas visiting my family who are all VERY Texan, and extremely good-hearted, loud, and colorful!!! All of my family lives here and in Austin, Texas except my sister who lives in Aspen, Colorado.....where I lived most of my life before moving out to sunny California to seek my fortune! I will be playing my 1st show here on Friday night so all my cousins, aunts and uncles can come out and see me....most of them have not even seen me play "live" so I'm super excited! I played last night at McHenrys (an acoustic room) and made some new friends. Met an amazing violinist/singer named Marion who will be sitting in with me on Friday night!! Then Sat, I'll be in Dallas out on the town checking out the scene...I fly back on Tuesday evening, then fly up to San Francisco to see Dave Mason play and do some writing with Bill Mason (keyboard player in Dave's band) and who knows? Mabe i'll get to sing with Dave, or play a song at the show...you just never know what will happen, but I know I'll be ready for anything spontaneous 'cause that's the kind of girl I am. I hope you all have a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday full of LOVE, and GRATITUDE. XXOOO SUZANNE
